New Containers

 

"New" shipping containers are those that have made only one trip with a single cargo load from Asia, where they are manufactured. Since they have not spent years on the ocean or in container depots, they are the cleanest and best-looking units available. New containers require much less maintenance than used containers and will last much longer.

 

Used Containers

 

In order to meet the individual needs of our customers, ContainerWest offers used containers in a variety of different grades.

"Used" shipping containers are typically between 10-12 years old. The majority of our used containers are refurbished to provide superior value.

We put these containers through our shop, chip & grind any serious corrosion, and weld any holes with new metal. The seals are inspected and replaced/repaired as necessary. We also replace any broken floor sections. Finally, we make sure that the doors and lock rods work freely. This brings the containers up to a standard that is well-suited for storage.

We also offer premium grade used containers which are in superior condition, both cosmetically and structurally. These would be the top 10% of all used units.

In addition, we sell some used containers with little to no work done on them. This is a good option for those with a limited budget.

We also have the option to sell out of our extensive rental fleet to meet a specific customer requirement.
